Kid's events and workshops

Kid's Easter Clay Club

Date: Wednesday 9th April and Wednesday 16th April

Time: 11 – 12:30pm

Min age: 5yrs+

Duration: 1.5 hours

Kids will explore textures and pattern-making, creating hanging easter decorations with this hands-on clay workshop. Each child will make 3 easter decorations using clay, which they can take home on the day (please bring a box to make sure your decorations get home safely as they will still be wet). In addition, children each receive a small ceramic egg to paint, which will be glazed and fired, and ready to collect two weeks later.

Children will receive:

All tools and equipment and guidance to make 3 hanging Easter decorations from clay which they can take home on the day
Small ceramic egg to paint - which will be glazed, fired and ready to collect two weeks later
Squash/water and popcorn

Parents must accompany children, but can enjoy a tea/coffee in our lovely studio. Or why not paint something yourself?

Glow Painting Family Experience

Date: Saturday 3rd May and Saturday 17th May

Time: 6-7:30pm

Duration: 1.5 hours

Minimum age: 5+ (all children must be accompanied by a participating adult)

Max. booking size: 5ppl (for larger groups, speak to the studio)

Looking for some family fun? At Crafty Pots you and your gang can discover the magic of neon painting in a very unique family painting experience.

This 1.5 hour experience is the perfect family outing offering you the chance to connect with your kids in a fun, creative environment. As well as a family-friendly sound track, there will be some examples, and tools to get you going as you spend time painting your canvas in the dark.

And at the end of the session you’ll be able to take your masterpieces home to hang proudly and show off to family and friends.

Highlights

Tap into your inner artist with fluorescent paint, and watch your creation glow (literally!) in our UV lit upstairs studio.
This experience enables the whole family to unleash their creative side, whilst spending time as a family. Perfect for kids aged 5yrs – 18yrs!
You’ll have a range of tools (stencils, brushes, sponges…) available for you to really get creative – you’re in control of your masterpiece.

Tuesday 6th August

Kids Workshop - pinch pots

11am
£22 per person
Duration: 1.5 hours

Parents can stay and enjoy a coffee or tea in our lovely studio.

Workshop includes;

Demonstration, instruction and support by our host expert Debbie Duffy, followed by the chance to create a pinch pot of your own which will be fired and returned to you glazed and ready to show off to all your friends.
For an additional £6 you can choose to pop into Crafty Pots studio and paint your pot at a later date, let us know if you would like to do this option before we glaze it, Once you have painted your pot, we will then glaze and re-fire it in the kiln to make it shiny and usable/dishwasher safe.
Complimentary squash and popcorn for each participant.

These workshops are suitable for children 5 years and up, there is no upper age limit. If you have a small child we request that you stay for the duration, you can enjoy a cup of tea or a coffee in our lovely studio. You can also book any siblings in to paint something at a regular Pottery Painting session, or why not paint something yourself!

Tuesday 20th August

Kids Workshop - Tile making and Impressing

11am
£22 per person
Duration: 1.5 hours

Parents can stay and enjoy a coffee or tea in our lovely studio.

Workshop includes;

Demonstration, instruction and support by our host expert Debbie Duffy.
Each student will make at least one impressed tile using a selection of stamps and/or natural forms to decorate their tiles.
Tiles will then be fired and ready to display as hanging plaques or use as coasters.
Complimentary squash and popcorn for each participant.

These workshops are suitable for children 5 years and up, there is no upper age limit. If you have a small child we request that you stay for the duration, you can enjoy a cup of tea or a coffee in our lovely studio. You can also book any siblings in to paint something at a regular Pottery Painting session, or why not paint something yourself!

Taylor Swift Pottery Painting session

Date: Friday 7th March

Time: 6 - 8pm

Cost: £25 per person

Suitable for all Swiftie's over the age of 10. Painters under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Back by popular demand, we're inviting all Swiftie's (young and not-so-young) to come and paint something extra special at this Taylor- themed pottery painting event.

Whether its a night out with the girls, mum friends, date night or a mum/dad daughter date - if you love a bit of Taylor Swift then its a lovely way to spend a few hours whilst listening to her music and painting something beautiful.

We'll have some Taylor Swift inspo for you, whilst you paint to all of Taylor's best hits! Prizes for best dressed and Taylor Swift quiz winners!

Each painter receives:

Choice of mug, plate or bowl (additional items available for a surcharge)
