Crafty Pots Studio Assistant
​

Days / hours:

  • Saturday, 11-4:30pm

  • Extra hours/shifts possible for Sundays, during school holidays and opportunities to work extra hours at evening workshops and events if desired. To be agreed in advance.

Pay: £8 per hour

​

About you

Essentials:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • A positive, friendly and approachable disposition

  • Great organisational skills

​

An advantage:

  • Creative aptitude

  • Digital marketing experience, in particular use of social media such as Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok (this can be personal experience rather than professional).

​

Roles and responsibilities:

Helping to create an unbeatable customer experience by providing a relaxing and fun environment at Crafty Pots Café, by;

  • Supporting the Studio Manager to help customers through the creative process of pottery painting. Offering guidance and top tips for best results and answering questions on best practice (all training will be provided for this).

  • Taking drinks orders from customers and taking payments,

  • Ensuring pottery log is kept up to date and accurate (training provided).

  • Assisting in session turnaround by washing all materials, clearing and resetting tables for the next session.

  • Ensuring pottery log is kept up to date and accurate (training provided).

  • Packing away pottery.

  • Supporting Studio Manager with customer pottery collections on the day.

  • Seeking opportunities to create social media stories and content generation.

  • Using any spare time opportunity to glaze and dry foot pottery (full training will be given).

  • Taking drinks orders from customers.

  • Supporting the Studio Manager.

Crafty Pots Studio Manager
​

Days / hours:

  • Saturday, 9-5pm

  • 2 Thursdays a month: 6:30-9pm

  • Occasional extra hours during school holidays and some evening workshop opportunities, if desired

​

Pay: £10-£12 per hour, dependent on experience

​

About you

​

Essentials:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • A positive, friendly and approachable disposition

  • Great organisational skills

  • At least 2 years of experience in a public facing hospitality or retail role

  • Experience of direct line management

  • Over 18 years of age

​

An advantage:

  • Creative aptitude

  • Digital marketing experience, in particular social media strategy and content creation across channels such as Instagram, Facebook and Tiktok (this can be personal experience rather than professional).

​

Role and responsibilities:

Responsible for creating an unbeatable customer experience by providing a relaxing and fun environment at Crafty Pots Café, by;

  • Managing the daily diary of bookings including seating plans, and session breaks.

  • Helping customers through the creative process of pottery painting. Offering guidance and top tips for best results and answering questions on best practice (all training will be provided for this).

  • Ensuring sessions are run to schedule and ensuring efficient session turnaround. Cleaning all materials and resetting for the next session/day.

  • Ensuring pottery log is kept up to date and accurate (training provided) and payments taken.

  • Packing away pottery.

  • Being in charge of customer pottery collections on the day.

  • Seeking opportunities to create social media stories and content generation.

  • Using any spare time opportunity to glaze and dry foot pottery (full training will be given).

  • Managing Studio Assistant.
